Antique-Style Hawthorne Strainer | Leg-Lock Design with Long Handle

The Vintage-Inspired Hawthorne That’s Back on Every Professional Rail.

There’s been a major resurgence of this antique-style Hawthorne strainer among professional bartenders — and it’s not hard to see why. The dense, tightly wound coiled spring creates a better seal against both shaker tins and mixing glasses than most modern strainers, making it equally effective for shaken and stirred cocktails. The indentation built into the leg locks the strainer in place during pouring so it doesn’t slip mid-service. And the classic round silhouette with a flat handle just looks right on the bar. Available in six finishes, each with the same construction and Bull In China B logo on the handle.

• Leg-Lock Indentation: The notch built into the leg locks the strainer securely against the rim of your shaker tin or mixing glass during pouring — no slipping, no mid-pour adjustments.
• Dense Coiled Spring: Tightly wound spring creates a reliable seal and catches ice and solids effectively for both shaken and stirred cocktails.
• Perforated Bowl: Evenly spaced perforations allow smooth liquid flow while holding back ice and larger solids.
• Antique-Style Round Silhouette: The classic form that’s seen a major resurgence in professional bar settings — functional and visually distinctive.
• 6 Finishes: Silver, Copper, Gold, Gunmetal Black, Antique Brass, and Rainbow Chrome — each with the same construction and B logo on the handle.
• Silver is Dishwasher Safe: All other finishes should be hand washed to preserve coating integrity.

Six Finishes. Every Bar Aesthetic.

Each finish is a distinct look — not just a color swap. The coiled spring, perforated bowl, and leg-lock indentation are consistent across all six. Choose the finish that coordinates with your bar setup or the rest of your Bull In China tool collection:
