Bold, Sculptural, and Built to Thrive — Meet the Madagascar Palm

The Madagascar Palm (Pachypodium lamerei) is one of the most striking houseplants you can own. Native to the arid landscapes of Madagascar, this architectural beauty features a thick, water-storing trunk lined with protective spines and a crown of long, slender leaves that emerge and shed as the plant matures. It's a conversation piece that practically takes care of itself.

Dramatic upright form — a natural focal point for bright rooms and sunny windowsills
Thick, swollen trunk stores water, making it highly drought-tolerant
New leaves continuously emerge from the crown as older ones fall — always evolving
Tough hooked spines naturally deter curious pets from getting too close
Slow-growing and long-lived — a plant you'll have for years
Available in 4", 6", and 10" nursery pot sizes

Whether you're a seasoned plant collector or looking for a low-maintenance statement plant, the Madagascar Palm delivers structure, character, and resilience in equal measure.
