Monstera Adansonii Swiss Cheese Vine

The Fenestrated Vine That Turns Any Shelf, Trellis, or Hanging Basket Into a Tropical Statement

The Monstera adansonii — better known as the Swiss Cheese Vine — is one of the most visually striking and easy-to-grow indoor plants you can own. Each heart-shaped leaf develops its own unique pattern of natural perforations (fenestrations) as the plant matures, creating a lacy, light-filtering effect that looks incredible whether you train it up a moss pole, let it trail from a shelf, or hang it in a basket. Native to the tropical forests of South and Central America, it’s adapted to thrive in the indirect light and average humidity of most homes. New leaves emerge regularly during the growing season, and the plant responds well to pruning — cuttings root easily in water for propagation. Ships in a nursery pot, ready to repot or display as-is.
