The Chilewich Sampler Placemat draws inspiration from historical darning samplers — small pieces of cloth covered in darning “blocks” of various weave structures and colors, dating back to at least the 18th century, used to learn and demonstrate the craft. In Sampler, paired rectangles come together and introduce a distinctive weave as they overlap, creating a dynamic, layered surface that honors textile tradition. Manufactured in the USA from TerraStrand® material with integrated Microban® antimicrobial protection, in 3 colors: Multi, Wheat, and Fir.
The Sampler placemat transitions effortlessly from an indoor dining table to an outdoor patio setting. Microban® technology works continuously to inhibit bacteria, mold, and mildew growth — keeping the surface cleaner between wipes. Phthalate-free and food-safe for all dining occasions.
The Chiliwich Sampler design is so beautiful. Thank you.
