This paper towel holder combines functionality with refined design through its terrazzo concrete base and natural wood construction. Hand-cast from concrete mixed with recycled glass, each holder features a unique terrazzo pattern that adds visual interest to kitchen countertops.
The base is individually hand-cast using custom rubber molds, with colors integrally mixed into the concrete for durability. Recycled glass particles create the distinctive terrazzo appearance. The vertical rod is available in either maple or walnut wood, providing a warm contrast to the concrete base. A cork bottom protects counter surfaces from scratches.
Due to the handmade casting process, natural variations occur in each piece. Small pin holes and voids are characteristic of hand-cast concrete work and contribute to each holder's one-of-a-kind appearance. The sealer applied is food-grade safe, though direct food contact is not recommended.
At 6 1/2 inches wide and 13 1/2 inches tall, this holder accommodates standard paper towel rolls while maintaining a compact footprint on counters or shelving. The weight of the concrete base provides stability during use, preventing tipping when tearing off sheets.
Maintenance is straightforward: wipe clean with mild soap and water as needed. Do not submerge the holder in water, as this may affect the concrete and wood components over time.
The terrazzo aesthetic works across various kitchen styles, from modern minimalist to eclectic spaces. The combination of industrial concrete and natural wood creates a balanced look that functions as both storage and decorative accent. The sustainable materials—recycled glass and responsibly sourced wood—align with eco-conscious home goods choices.
