Each coaster is individually hand-cast from custom-made rubber molds, making every piece unique. The concrete is integrally mixed with color throughout, ensuring consistent appearance even with wear. Recycled glass pieces are embedded into the concrete to create the distinctive terrazzo pattern. A cork base provides grip and surface protection.
The casting process creates natural characteristics in the concrete, including occasional small pin holes and voids that add to the artisan quality of each piece. These variations are inherent to hand-cast concrete work and make each coaster one-of-a-kind.
