Hand-Blown Glass Teardrop Terrarium with Ionantha Fuego Air Plant
This hand-blown glass teardrop terrarium showcases the Ionantha Fuego air plant, known for its striking red blooms that appear multiple times throughout the year. The terrarium's unique teardrop shape features a flat base for tabletop display or can be hung as a suspended planter, offering versatile placement options for any space.
The Ionantha Fuego is a premium variety of Tillandsia that produces vibrant red blooms during its flowering cycle. Each terrarium includes an Ionantha Fuego air plant actively in bloom or ready to bloom, paired with black decorative stones that create visual contrast against the plant's natural green and red coloring.
Low Maintenance Air Plant Care
Air plants require minimal care compared to traditional potted plants. The Tillandsia Ionantha Fuego thrives without soil, drawing moisture and nutrients from the air. Simply mist the plant 2-3 times per week or soak it in water for 20-30 minutes every 1-2 weeks. After watering, allow the plant to dry completely before returning it to the terrarium to prevent moisture buildup.
Versatile Display Options
The teardrop terrarium measures 3 inches wide by 5 inches high, making it compact enough for desks, shelves, windowsills, or side tables. The flat base provides stability for surface placement, while the shape also accommodates hanging display with appropriate hooks or stands. This dual-function design works in home offices, living rooms, bedrooms, or commercial spaces.
Hand-Blown Glass Construction
Each terrarium is individually hand-blown, creating a unique glass piece with slight variations that add character. The clear glass allows full visibility of the air plant and black stones from all angles, creating a living display that changes as the plant grows and blooms throughout the year.
