This unique combination pairs a living Tillandsia Ionantha air plant with a natural pink sea urchin shell base. The delicate air plant nestles perfectly within the shell's natural curves, creating a self-supporting display piece that requires no soil or potting.
Natural Shell Base Design
Each pink urchin shell serves as both a decorative holder and functional base, keeping the air plant upright and secure. The vibrant pink coloring of the sea urchin shell adds coastal charm to any space, while the compact size makes it suitable for desks, windowsills, or small shelving areas.
Tillandsia Ionantha Care
Air plants are epiphytes that absorb moisture and nutrients through their leaves rather than roots. Mist your Tillandsia 2-3 times per week, or soak in water for 20-30 minutes weekly. After watering, shake off excess moisture and place upside down to dry completely. These plants thrive in bright, indirect light and prefer temperatures between 50-90°F.
Low Maintenance Living Decor
This pairing requires minimal care compared to traditional potted plants. No soil means no mess, and the small footprint fits anywhere. The air plant will gradually grow and may produce small purple blooms when mature. Simply remove the plant from its shell for watering, then return it to its base once dry.
