Gold Geometric Glass Terrarium with Air Plants
This heptahedron terrarium combines geometric design with living botanicals. The seven-sided structure features gold-plated metal framing with clear glass panels, creating a contemporary display piece that sits on a stable triangular base.
Included Plants and Materials
Each terrarium arrives with two Tillandsia air plants: a Red Abdita and an Ionantha. These low-maintenance plants require no soil and thrive with minimal care. The arrangement is complemented by natural river rocks and preserved reindeer moss, creating a complete miniature landscape inside the glass enclosure.
Design and Construction
The glass and metal construction measures 6.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall. The gold-plated finish on the metal framework adds warmth to the geometric structure, while the triangular base provides stability on flat surfaces. The seven-sided design offers viewing angles from multiple perspectives, making it suitable for desks, shelves, or tabletops.
Air Plant Care
Tillandsia air plants are epiphytes that absorb moisture and nutrients through their leaves. Remove the plants from the terrarium weekly and mist or soak them in water for 20-30 minutes. Allow them to dry completely before returning them to the glass enclosure. Place the terrarium in bright, indirect light away from direct sun exposure.
Maintenance
The glass surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth to maintain clarity. The gold-plated metal frame requires minimal upkeep. The reindeer moss is preserved and does not require watering. River rocks can be rinsed if needed and returned to the terrarium once dry.
Display and Gifting
The compact footprint makes this terrarium suitable for home offices, living spaces, or workstations where surface area is limited. The combination of geometric structure and living plants works in both modern and traditional settings. The complete arrangement arrives ready to display, making it a practical gift option.
