The Granite Slab 3-Bottle Wine Rack by Funky Rock Designs is carved from repurposed New England granite curbing — stone estimated at approximately 280 million years old. Three bottle cradles are cut directly into the face of the slab in an alternating zigzag pattern: the top cradle opens left, the middle opens right, the bottom opens left. Bottles rest at a slight upward angle, necks seated in the stone, bodies angling out. The rough-cut granite face is speckled grey-white with black mineral flecks, feldspar, and quartz — no two slabs are identical. Cork feet protect the surface beneath. Available with or without the optional natural stone wine stopper.
The rack stands 15 inches tall and fits under most standard kitchen cabinets. Set it on a counter, a sideboard, or a bar cart and it reads as a sculptural object before it reads as a wine rack — the granite face, the alternating bottle angles, and the rough stone texture do the visual work. Load it with a red, a white, and a rosé and it holds an evening’s worth of options in arm’s reach. An exceptional gift for wine lovers, hosts, and anyone drawn to design with geological history behind it.
